Meet Dr. Rizzo

​

Nicholas Rizzo, MD, JD, FACP

 

Dr. Nicholas Rizzo received his B.A. with Honors in Biology from the University of Chicago and his M.D. from Northwestern University. He completed his residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and is board certified in Internal Medicine (General Medicine for adults).

He is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine, South Bend, and he has authored or co-authored several articles and books on combat sports medicine. He works as a physician for professional boxing and MMA events, is a past president of the Association of Ringside Physicians, and is a member of the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation Athletic Unit Advisory Board for nearly a decade. He holds a certificate in Culinary Arts from Kendall College and in 2018 received his JD with a Certificate in Health Law from Loyola University, Chicago.
